About

"I started training in Martial Arts at 16, at the Harrogate Shotokan Karate Club under Sensei Matt Price. At the time the school was very small with only a handful of students. It was here that I learnt the foundations of good martial arts which I am very grateful for.

Two years later I studied Shukokai Karate under Sensei Ken Gee, where I won the 1996 SKU junior grade National Kata Champion title. This was my first competition and the first of many awards.

In 2002 I began my study of Wado Ryu and Sports Karate under the instruction of Sensei Mark Dixon. Here I achieved my 2nd Dan and became an instructor. Five years later I decided that I wanted to push myself further, and so joined Chris Jones' XMA team at his school in Knaresborough. Through this introduction, I started my Screen Fighter/Actor career, and became the school's Chief Instructor."
